skipping stones

I have been trying to get to grips with haiga recently, mainly for fun and often in response to the ongoing NaHaiWriMo prompts. I’ve put together a selection, beginning with ‘daffodil’, which is dedicated to my daughters Eleanor and Amy.

Amy (14) is a keen artist and budding naturalist (pun intended!) and has been kind enough to provide the artwork for some of my poems. She writes haiku herself and was the grand prize winner for the 2011 Kids Count for Earth Day competition.

This last one, a thank you to Amy, for being my haiga partner and for lending me a feather from her collection. Sharing these haiku moments with you is a joy!
